A quiet dialogue between concrete, timber and landscape.

This Brighton residence features curved structural concrete and stone, contrasting with natural timber battening to create a rich collection of material integrity. The extension of the concrete walls between the interior and exterior spaces provide a clear spatial continuity that supports the light-filled interiors.

Thoughtfully designed to maximize the efficiency of the site, the curves of the walls create natural boundaries that define the living spaces while still maintaining a sense of spaciousness.

The project explores the use of natural materials, with timber and stone carried through the interiors to establish a tactile and considered connection to the surrounding landscape. Large windows are positioned to draw in natural light and to frame outlooks across the garden, allowing the home to engage with its exterior setting.
